| BEFORE + AFTER | 500 Main Street – Part 5.
The bathroom, oh the bathroom…it's between the bedrooms in the hallway. This room had some significant damage to the walls from an improper installation of a shower surround that was probably 20 years past its prime.
RECAP
Initially, we were going to leave the cast iron tub but once we got to cleaning it up and prepping for tile, it had enamel damage that was irreparable. So, a sledgehammer solved the issue and everything was removed! Uff those pieces were heavy, I was so grateful for Brad doing the hard work and our oldest son carrying it all out 🙌
What we did…
◾ Removed the wallpaper
◾ Had a local contractor repair the drywall and skim the entire room
◾ B&C Plumbing took care of the tub and all of our plumbing needs
◾ Tiled the shower
◾ Flooring and finishes
This room had the most wallpaper, there were a few other rooms with just borders but our savior was a steamer. Have you ever used one of these?! Oh my gosh, life saver of so many things.
