Spring Cleaning and Organization Tips from MeshedDesigns

Have we met?

I'm Amber, self-taught interior designer, decorative painter and entrepreneur!  I am a wife to a wonderful husband who tolerates my crazy ideas but is usually right alongside me, mother of two wild boys, and a lover of all things old and junky.  I am the founding business owner of MeshedDesigns and I’ve always wanted to be an entrepreneur. I love being busy and having a full schedule refurbishing cabinetry and working with clients, creating product, or hosting events while we slowly renovate our 1920’s Farmhouse on our quaint homestead in Minnesota.

13 Years of MeshedDesigns

I started MeshedDesigns in 2012 and I'm so grateful for the many lessons we have learned through the years and the way we have been able to grow. It is a blessing.

Here are a few fun facts about our business:

We do a little bit of everything from full kitchen remodels to design consults and quick projects such as tile backsplashes & interior painting.

The MeshedDesigns team loves going out for lunch together on Fridays – especially to our local favorite spot, Molly’s! Fun fact: Brad and Amber balance each other out well when it comes to food. Brad is picky so often Amber can score what he won’t eat.

-Our goal is to help you create the home you’ve always imagined and will love. Your home should be a reflection of you and not so focused on the trends.

-We believe that making small changes can make a big difference and that you don’t have to do everything at once.

Amber initially began in the design world years ago when she owned a retail store and then sold decor out of her barn!

-We’ve curated a variety of resources to help guide projects or project planning/prep. Whether you are a DIYer or need inspiration to get organized, we’ve got you covered.

It's been so fun to grow over the past few years and add on team members! I'm grateful for this crew – they make the magic happen.

Outside of Work…

Our Family Loves to...

Our favorite family activity is demolition derbies. We love driving in them and traveling to watch them too! We are a little bit redneck and that’s okay with us!

What's In My Bag…

I need a bag that holds everything, really like travel style carry on bag because of the pockets. The ideal one has oil cloth and is big enough for all my things – I always have a tape measure, laser measure and chapstick with me! I'm kind of all or nothing though – if I don't have a bag like on that me, then my cards are attached to my phone and that's all I've got.

My Favorite MeshedDesigns Memory…

The time Brad and I were at Home Depot on a weekend and I said we should look at tile saws because I may or may not have scheduled a backsplash for that Monday without him knowing we added to our service scope! Oops…

This is what I think about when I order Product & Design a Space…

I always think about texture and balance acknowledging sentimental items client may want to keep.
