Here's the deal…we all have too much stuff. I'm guilty too!
I am often asked whether or not someone should put an addition on their home OR move to a bigger home. Before you go there, consider these points first:
– Evaluate how you want to use your home and spaces.
– Consider different ways to use the existing space.
– If storage is one of the issues, try making your closets more effective! If you don't know where to start, hire a professional organizer to help you for a few days. This will give you a fresh perspective of how you can organize the things you need. *Take a look at my closet pictured here. We use this room as a closet space/dressing room. It was a great solution for our family.
I would consider all of this FIRST before making plans to build or add on. One solution for our home was to create a dressing room/closet out of this room. It works great for our family.
