I've been really liking adding color into our home! Our kitchen now has a deep green wall color and the dressing room has gotten some color blocking. Now that it's time for fall I'm looking for timeless pieces that can be added for year round decor but still give the autumn vibe. I've been also really into boho, natural, mixed material, and found items keeping our home true to it's 1920s architecture.
I've selected all of the products not only because they give a cohesive look but because they are AFFORDABLE and we all know how important that is! My favorite piece from the collection is the light blush pillow [and it comes in more colors too] because of it's tassel-y texture. And, I'm not usually a pink kinda gal but I can see adding this one to our home as more of a feminine feel.
Swapping a few things and adding some others during the change of seasons is all your home really needs. If you're anything like me, once I accumulate more than one tote of seasonal decor, it's doomed to the basement and never looked at again because I loose my ambition to carry them all up and dig through it.
TIPS FOR AFFORDABLE FALL DECOR
shop your own house
I know I just said I don't like packing things away but you may have set something aside this spring that be brought back out. Or perhaps you can repurpose a basket or wall hanging that's been in a different space and could use some new life.
spluge on things that last seasons
Take for instance the rug. Those are hard to pack away and usually you're spending a little bit on them so it's good to use your resources wisely where they'll last through several seasons.
mix and match
You don't have to get rid of everything you already have! Use some old and bring in a little new. And, if you're just starting out on your decor style journey, pick pieces that you love and it'll all some together.
