If you've read some of our other projects, you know we are experts at making golden oak look refreshed and modern, simply by updating and working with the elements around it! Let's jump in so you can see the interior updates.
The main level was repainted throughout to my go to, Agreeable Gray, updating the red accent wall. The homeowners had original linoleum in the entry, laundry, half bath with laminate in the kitchen. We replaced all of it with an updated luxury vinyl plank (LVP).
The island was the main pain point of the homeowner, the sink and faucet had seen it’s better days and the two tier countertop was difficult for entertaining. We used the same footprint of the original L shaped island extending it to be rectangle allowing for storage on the backside bringing the sink and dishwasher (DW) forward. The size ended up being the maximum depth possible for the countertops to be made at 67” without a seam! The perimeter countertops were replaced as well in Hanstone Quartz – Calacatta Venato and we updated the hardware throughout.
